National Cultural Center

We’re seeking visionary architects, designers & 3D artists to create a symbol of modernity and a bright future: a national-level cultural center in the capital. Your design will include a grand mosque, VIP guest house, discreet security, ample parking, a 150-seat amphitheater, and flexible exhibition halls. This landmark must speak to a nation once silent and misunderstood—now emerging humble, civilized, and forward-looking.

Project Brief:

Design an iconic, large-scale cultural center in a national capital. This landmark must:

  • Site & Scale

    • Footprint: 10,000 – 20,000 m²

    • Topography: flat, with no major natural obstacles

Grand Mosque

A monumental place of gathering and prayer for over 200 muslims

Prestigious Residence

Accommodating 15 ensuite suites, self-sufficient catering for at least 30 VIPs.

Security Protocol

Dedicated protocol plaza, secure perimeter, VIP drop-off canopy

Enough Parking

Spacious enough to have official motorcade bays plus visitor parking. 20–30 official-vehicle bays + 100 visitor stalls

Conference Hall

tiered seating for 150–200 guests, ADA-compliant circulation

flexible spaces for rotating handicraft items and other cultural symbols

Mosque Complex

  1. Site & Orientation

    • Qibla alignment (precise orientation toward Mecca)

    • Entry plaza with covered portico

    • Drop-off/valet zone for worshippers

    • Main prayer hall (clear span, column-free)

    • Separate women’s prayer mezzanine or adjacent hall

    • Overflow courtyard (sahn) for large gatherings

    • Ablution (wudu) facilities:

      • Indoor washing stations (men’s + women’s)

      • Outdoor “fountain” style wudu area

    • Main dining hall (banquet setup for 30–50)

    • Fully-equipped kitchen + service pantry
